Kevin McDonnell, CPA, Attorney And Counselor At Law

Kevin McDonnell received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Management from the University of New Orleans. He also received Doctor of Jurisprudence from Tulane University School of Law.

Kevin is an accomplished attorney and Certified Public Accountant practicing in Ellis County. His goal is to preserve wealth for individuals at all stages of their lives and is committed to the community he serves.

When Kevin isn’t practicing, he enjoys reading, flying and traveling with his family.

Jim Richardson, CPA, CGMA

I am a CPA.  For the last ten years I have helped clients with a variety of accounting issues.  These service include preparing books and records, financial statements, income tax preparations, IRS audits, property taxes renditions, and property tax protests.

For the last several years, I have worked as Corporate Controller .  In that time I have managed all of the accounting staff, oversee all of the administrative areas (i.e. A/P, Billings, Collections, etc..) and managed the month end closing.  In general I have been in charge of all aspects of the Accounting Department from the day to day work to the financial reporting.

Some of my other duties include:

  • Prepared the annual budget, 5 year projections and 10 year projections
  • Prepared the “What If” analysis for the proposed acquisitions
  • Managed various projects for the accounting side
  • Working with the Auditors
  • Backing up the CFO in treasury matters
  • Assist in working with the insurance groups
  • Provide analysis on variances
  • Work with Bankers
  • Special Projects

Prior to my work as a Corporate Controller, I was a Senior Appraiser at the Dallas Central Appraisal District.  During my time with the Appraisal District, I worked with tax payers to determine that proper value for the Business Personal Property.  This Experience has provided me with a unique experience that can benefit you and your company
